Boost your outdoor lifestyle

One of the most enjoyable aspects of homeownership is having fun in the sun without having to deal with crowded parks or ponds. Professional landscapers can help you make the most of your outdoor spaces by giving you:

  • beautiful, inspiring garden areas
  • Lighting features that enable you to enjoy the outdoors after dark
  • Lovely pergolas that enhance your yard and add shade to Lush, soft lawns where kids (and adults) can go barefoot.

In the hot summers of Washington, a lack of rain can either kill all your plants or lead to excessive bills of water to keep your flowers and grass looking good.

Landscaping pros in this field can really make a difference. Benefits of a Landscaper’s knowledge & Skill:

  • Know that plants need less water
  • Using native plants that grow well in Tacoma’s environment
  • Add hardscaping which beautify without having water
  • Keep your trees, lawns and flowers in tip-top shape during any weather
  • Install irrigation that uses water wisely saving you money

It’s hard work to keep up the grass, flower beds, trees, outdoor lighting, pathways and other outdoor spaces. Homeowners can spend hours on all aspects of landscaping.

You will free up your time by hiring professional landscapers to do more of what you enjoy most— like spending time with your loved ones. And for your hobbies, family time, and other activities, you’ll have more energy.

Eliminate the need for a green thumb

Let’s face it— purchasing a plant that looks amazing at the nursery is frustrating, just bringing it home and watching it die because you don’t know how to keep it. Or it is devoured by insects. Or even though you’ve done everything you can to preserve it, it’s not thriving.

Pro landscapers are greenery care experts. Once they destroy your precious plants, they are conditioned to nip issues in the bud. Whether you have a green thumb or not, you can relax and enjoy beautiful flowers, trees, and bushes.

Would you long for beautiful outdoor areas to enjoy imaginative designs? You may have seen the yard of a neighbor come to life in ways that you never expected for your own yard. Creative, well-planned landscaping draws attention to the characteristics of your favorite home.

Some Thoughts & Landscaping Services Near Me

landscaping services near me

I have some thoughts about how and where to start the landscape. I’m just amazed at how easy it looks when I watch landscaping shows on HGTV. Together you get a few mates, dig up the grass, lay down some pavers, add a water or pergola element. Boom!  You’re done. A yard of ho-um is becoming impressive. The next thing you know, you’re off to buy supplies from the home improvement store to build your own impression of the landscape.

Many people never try a new landscape in the garden, because they don’t know where to start.  You can always hire Landscaping Services Near Me or do it yourself. Do your research. Make a plan. Then go for it!  So, let’s start building the block’s most beautiful yard.

Set a Realistic Budget

It always helps to have a budget, and I always get the glassy stare when I ask about their budget. Many people are going to give me a $200-$500 range estimate. I usually tell them to let me know if they’ve got something in the range of $800–$1000. The purpose of trees, mulch, equipment for hire, product for hardscape, etc. Such items are not cheap and they quickly add up. A 15′x 15′ bed, for example, would take between 15-20 mulch bags. This will cost you between $3-$4 per bag in the Austin area. It’s easy to see when you do the math that your $200 won’t buy you a lot of plants.

Many people never try a new design in the garden because they don’t know where to start.

Now that you have a plan, start by listing the items you want and need in your landscape. Think long and hard about how you’re going to use this area? Do you have kids who want a trampoline or a playscape? Have you got a big dog that needs room to run around? Would you like a covered seating area? Do you dream of a large garden of vegetables? Are there plans to install a spa, an outdoor kitchen or a fireplace for one day? Don’t think about the roads. List all these things.

Recall your first backyard landscape painting. We’ve been thinking about what we wanted and how we’d use it for a lot of time. Plan and create your dream. Many people never try a new design in the garden because they don’t know where to start. One of the major mistakes that beginning landscapers make is not paying attention to things like the sun, wind, or rain. Since we live in an area of new houses, I see a lot of landscaping that does not value the elements.

In August, placing a patio on your house’s sunny side can be pure misery. You don’t want to put your grill or fire pit next to a windy corner, either. The pretty patio umbrella, if put in the wrong spot, can become a rocket. When we started our backyard project, we were standing outside as it was raining and watching the water pouring out with flashlights on a few occasions in the middle of the night.

Some people never try a new design in the garden because they don’t know where to start.

Neither be in a rush. Create some plans, make some drawings, then step back and consider this stuff to research your yard. You may find that with the changing seasons one or two of your original ideas might be catastrophic. You will plan accordingly until you know how your estate interacts with the elements.

Start Small I think from the rooftops I want to yell this one. Start as small as possible. Start as small as possible. Little end. Home improvement shows have massive expert teams and that’s why in 30 minutes or less they can take a 1/4 acre lot and transform it into a paradise. It’s making fun of TV, but it’s impractical.

Alternatively, find a little place you think you can make better. You might want to add a color pop to your front yard. Creating a bed around one or two trees, filling in with some annuals or grasses, mulching, watering, and enjoying. Usually, in one or two weekends, a small project like this can be done and won’t break the bank. Then sit back and watch the new landscape. Small milestones are always rewarding. And, to undertake larger projects, they will give you the confidence and experience.

When I saw an unused area next to the wall, I did this bed. We had on hand the mulch and the fence. I had a couple of plants that I moved to buy the grasses. Starting small can yield great results. Many people never try a new landscape in the garden because they don’t know where to start.

Size and Scale Matter

This is one of the most common errors created by newbie landscaping. Scale and size are underestimated and overestimated. With both plants and hardscapes, this can happen. A tiny yard will be swallowed by an enormous deck and look ridiculous. A large tree or shrub may dominate a landscape, rendering it dark and dull.

There’s a mature elm on the other side of the fence in our backyard. When determining where to plant the crape myrtle, we had to make a consideration in the elm. They’re a long way apart. As both are upright and the crape myrtle will take a lot of pruning, they should provide protection as well as block the western sun. Because the elm will sometime in the future have its lower branches pruned to avoid damaging the fence, the landscape will be well balanced.

These are from a home that we previously owned before and after videos. Note the wall around the entire front of the house in the photo above. Each neighbor we met when we bought the house would ask what we think about the wall.

The wall was removed and a small courtyard was built. Balance, rhythm, shape, and unity. Below is another photo from another perspective’ before.’ We took down the wall, removed a dead ash tree, and cut down the trees. It provided much more light inside as well as outside.

Here you are the painter and your canvas is the landscape. If after all this you still want to hire someone, hire a reputable landscape company like NW Landscape Management Inc.
